This series of photos was one of the experiments that led to the making of To me, Sisterhood is mixed media animation. During the development of that project, I set a list of prompts to challenge my understanding and portrayal of sisterhood, the one this shoot responded too was: Sisterhood as (something) Exclusive, Hostile and Intriguing. My response drew inspiration from representations of the figure of the Femme fatale (red lips), witches and ghosts (white flowy dresses), and a real life cult: the Silver sisterhood and approached it with a contemporary touch.

I am a Swiss-North African designer based in London, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of graphic design to reimagine our world in a more inclusive way.  As a socially-engaged designer, I explore identities and cultural representations through a decolonial feminist lens. Using art direction, photography, and editorial design, I strive to empower marginalized communities and foster a sense of belonging.
